At Korale Kitchen, our journey began with a passion for food and a dream to bring the vibrant flavours of Sri Lanka to the heart of the Cotswolds. Started from small pop-ups and local deliveries around Broadway and the surrounding areas, our humble beginnings quickly transformed into a culinary adventure.

 

Chef Kamal, the creative force behind Korale Kitchen, borrowed a converted horsebox from his close friend and boss at the time, who runs a popular local festival. This opportunity to cater at the festival ignited a buzz that marked the start of something special. We made great connections, met amazing customers, and from there, the momentum grew.

 

Embracing the excitement, we began booking as many events as possible, initially using a small gazebo to serve our delicious, fresh meals. As our reputation blossomed, we invested in our own catering trailer, fully equipped to meet Chef Kamal's high standards for creating authentic and flavourful dishes. An added bonus? The trailer kept us warmer during the chilly winter months!
